-

MEMBERS of Clwb Pel-droed Nantlle Vale Football Club and the local community group Ffrindiau Penygroes joined forces to tackle litter in the village and to get the winning result for the environment.

This initiative was part of the club’s commitment to improve the local environment and to increase community pride through partnership working.

Local Gwynedd Councillor Judith Humphreys, and a member of Ffrindiau Penygroes, said: “On behalf of the Ffrindiau Penygroes we would like to thank the members of Nantlle Vale Football Club for their willing assistance in supporting Ffrindiau Penygroes and the local community by collecting rubbish during the school holidays. Everyone worked very hard collecting 16 bags of rubbish.

“This cooperation is much appreciated, and helps change things for the better in our communities. Thanks again to the club for taking the time to work towards creating a pleasant community for everyone.”

On behalf of Clwb Pêl Droed Nantlle Vale FC, Kevin Pygall said: “As a club we are keen to support the local community in any way we can, and we were very pleased recently to help Ffrindiau Penygroes with the community litter pick. ‘Together Stronger’ is the rallying cry of the FAW – being football players we understand the power of working together and the same can apply to the community, when we come together, positive changes can happen.”
