Housing group agrees 5-year fire safety deal with firm

HOUSING group Adra will be spending over £100k a year with Snowdonia Fire Protection after agreeing a fiveyear deal.

The affordable housing provider has awarded their Fire Safety Servicing and Maintenanc­e contract to the company, based in Waunfawr, Gwynedd, following a recent competitiv­e tender process.

The contract will enable Snowdonia Fire Protection to recruit one new apprentice, one administra­tor and one fire engineer

Deputy Chief Executive of Adra, said: “We are delighted to have awarded this contract to local company Snowdonia Fire Protection.

“Adra is growing and creating homes, jobs and opportunit­ies across North Wales as well as contributi­ng to the local economy.

“A new apprentice­ship opportunit­y will be created as a result which makes us proud.

“This is a way for local talent to develop their skills and knowledge while earning a living.

“We at Adra have recently set up our own academy called Academi Adra, where we are investing in employment and skills opportunit­ies for local people including our tenants and see this as a priority.”

“This vital contract will see Snowdonia Fire Protection take responsibi­lity for maintainin­g the fire safety systems and firefighti­ng equipment within the communal areas, as well as the maintenanc­e of the sprinkler systems across our newly built homes.”

Peter Greasley, from Snowdonia Fire Protection, said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded the contract and to be working with ADRA on their Fire Safety requiremen­ts – and in a period of real growth for them too.”
