Publi­cis Groupe chief ex­ec­u­tive Arthur Sadoun (pic­tured) has de­fended the net­work’s pullout of Cannes Lions. Speak­ing at ISBA’S an­nual lunch, Sadoun stressed that the move was about trans­for­ma­tion and said of the crit­i­cism: “I take it; I don’t care.” Brand trust was the “big­gest bat­tle of our in­dus­try”, he said, adding: “Restor­ing the trust be­tween agen­cies and clients is the top pri­or­ity.”
