Sir, I must on behalf of the people of Scotland express outrage at the result of the recent internatio­nal rugby game for the Calcutta cup. This is not the result we wanted; not the result the people of Scotland wanted; therefore it is essential that we hold a Calcutta Cup 2 in order to give the people of Scotland the result they deserve.

If we fail to get the correct result then we should hold another competitio­n, Calcutta Cup 3 and so on until we get the result that we want.

The first result must be ignored, the players didn’t really know what they were playing for, circumstan­ces have changed and above all I didn’t like the outcome. Dee Cever, (Robin Finlay), Ardrishaig.
