Make Kintyre a Worldhost destination

-

FREE training aims to make Kintyre’s customer service second to none.

Argyll and The Isles Tourism Co-operative (AITC) is working with Business Gateway and People First on free WorldHost customer service training across the region.

Explore Kintyre and Gigha is helping co-ordinate workshops, with the next being held in Tarbert village hall on March 28 at 9.30am.

So what is WorldHost training? It’s a one day course where businesses and staff can improve on their customer care service skills, making excellent first impressions and being flexible to customers’ needs, always prioritising customer satisfaction.

An Explore Kintyre and Gigha spokesperson said: ‘There’s still time for your business to get involved.

‘If 50 per cent of your front of house staff complete the training and obtain a pass, you can become a WorldHost accredited business.’

AITC is working towards Argyll and the Isles becoming a WorldHost accredited destination.

To achieve this 25 per cent of tourism businesses in each of the region’s towns must go through the training.

In delivering the ‘Principles of Customer Care’ awareness will be raised in generating tourism revenue, sharing information about attractions, events, places of interest and how to go that extra mile, encouraging visitors to return and to tell others about the service.
