Crime writer uncovers town hall

FORMER Campbeltown man and detective author Denzil Meyrick will cut the ribbon to officially open the town hall.

The invitation-only event on Friday May 6 at 7.30pm will include music and entertainment by Alex McAllister, Davie Robertson and Paula McLean’s choirs.

The following day, there will be a town hall open day, with a coffee morning from 10am to 12pm, an open afternoon from 1pm to 4pm with children’s activities, and a licensed event featuring music by Deep Joy and Matt Mcallister from 8pm to 12.30am.

The restored town hall first opened its doors on April 30, 2016, so next weekend’s events are in celebration of the first anniversary.
