KINTYRE’S seafood is enjoyed across Europe and it is good to see this week that two businesses are in the running for a national award.

It is well worth taking a trip up the east road, from May 29 this year, to sample Skipness Seafood Cabin’s specialities.

In Campbeltown, Kintyre Smokehouse is no stranger to competitions.

Its smoked mussels were runner-up in the Great British Food magazine’s 2014 awards and its products graced Gleneagles’ tables at the Ryder cup the same year.
