MOK Fest’s silver anniversar­y reaches its crescendo in 15 weeks and this week the Courier has a double dose of past posters.

Fairly Famous Family’s 2001 MOK Fest

A GROUP of street performers famed across Europe dropped into the Wee Toon for its 2001 MOK Fest.

The Fairly Famous Family performed at the Picture House and various outdoor venues.

Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham returned to the festival.

Peatbog Faeries headlined Saturday night playing MOK Fest for the first time and were joined by Four Men and a Dog from Ireland, Malinky, Ishbel MacAskill and The Jura Ceilidh Band.

Biological band blasted MOK Fest 2000

SCOTTISH funk rockers Tartan Amoebas lifted the roof at MOK Fest’s turn of the century show in year 2000.

For year eight headliners the Michael McGoldrick Band performed with their full 11-piece band alongside support acts Deaf Shepherd, Duncan Chisholm and Ivan Drever and the Chris Armstrong Band.

Survivors’ Night had become a hugely popular night and again featured the Wee Toon Tellers as well as The Regulars, Catch 22 and Chipolatas.
