Agricultural choir combines in Wee Toon
FARMERS and farmers’ wives will dig up some long-forgotten tunes during a charity concert.
The programme at the event, in aid of Cancer Research UK, in Lorne and Lowland Church on July 1, will include songs from the shows, modern, mediaeval and traditional Scots – in short, something for everyone.
Entry is by donation with all money going to the world’s largest cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research.
In the 1970s, just one in four patients in the UK survived their disease; today that figure has doubled.
A Cancer Research UK spokesperson said: ‘The charity’s work is entirely funded by donation.
