Baskets are blooming marvellous

-

GREEN-FINGERED staff at South Kintyre Development Trust (SKDT) have created floral displays to brighten the town.

SKDT, in partnership with the community garden, has hung baskets at charity shops including Zero Waste Heroes, KYES, TSI, Shopper Aide and the community shop.

An SKDT spokesperson said: ‘We know how difficult it can be for local organisations to find extra cash to brighten up the place, so this year we have donated the floral baskets to add some cheer.

‘Contractors who have been specially helpful include: Jamie - from AJG Civils, Pavel of Signs of Scotland and Gordon at Argyll Signs.

‘Special mention should go to our suppliers, many of whom donated items or provided special discounted prices.

‘Particular thanks to the chandlers, windfarm, Buildbase, CalMac, Glenbarr Nursery and West Coast Plant Hire for their generosity.’
