One-way streets proposed for Campbeltown

-

MORE of Campbeltown’s roads could become one-way if proposals by Argyll and Bute Council get the go-ahead.

Members of the public have until November 10 to comment on the proposed traffic regulation order which includes making Burnside Street, Burnbank Street, Cross Street/ Union Street north and south, and Longrow South one-way.

The council also plans to impose no waiting and no loading restrictions at junctions to protect the crossing points and provide a free flow of traffic, as well as in-

troducing additional on street parking on both sides of Longrow, Longrow South and Main Street where possible, and no waiting at any time on sections of Union Street and Burnside Street.

Full details of the plans can be viewed on the council’s website or at the council’s offices at Burnet Building, Campbeltown, 3 Harvey’s Lane, Campbeltown, and Kilmory, Lochgilphead, during normal office hours.
