Pumpkin patch
KINTYRE FOLK of all ages got into the Hallowee’en spirit at the weekend when they blew into Bellochantuy to pick some perfect pumpkins.
The Farm Stall, which recently closed down, reopened on Saturday and Sunday, especially to sell its home-grown pumpkins.
Customers were free to wander the patch and pick out their favourite squash, before taking it into the shop to be measured and paid for.
As well as traditional perfectly formed, bright orange pumpkins, there were also ones that had grown green, which farm stall owner Hannah Jones called ‘zombie pumpkins’ as well as oddly-shaped specimens.
Children and adults alike had fun choosing the ideal one.
