Campbeltown Courier

Councillor needs to use a dictionary

-

Sir,

I have returned from three weeks away to two Courier letters from Councillor Alistair Redman.

Mr Redman translates an Audit Scotland report into Scotland’s NHS that it is not improving due to ‘10 years of mismanagement.’

He fails to point out that Scotland’s NHS is the most successful and well managed of the four NHSs in the UK.

He describes the roughly half of the population who would prefer Scotland to be independent of the UK as separatists and nationalists and dwindling in number.

Separatists and nationalist are just like Brexit supporters I suppose, but unlike Brexit supporters certainly not dwindling in number, not according to the latest polls.

The final straw is that he describes himself as making measured and reasonable criticisms.

I suggest he looks up the meanings of those two words. Tony Williams, Despairing Old Man, Musadale.
