Vehicle seized

A car was stopped by police for a routine check at about 11pm on Monday July 30, in Ralston Road, Campbeltown. It was found that there was no insurance or MOT in force for the vehicle. The 48-yearold male driver was charged and the vehicle was seized.

Arrested

Two 18-year-olds were arrested for behaving in an abusive manner at about 12.45am on Tuesday July 31, in Burnside Street, Campbeltown. The man and woman were charged with the offences.

Bicycle theft

A yellow and red mountain bike was stolen from a common close in Shore Street, Campbeltown, between 8.15pm on Monday July 30 and 9am on Tuesday July 31.

Blue Mazda

A man in a blue Mazda car behaved in an abusive manner towards a woman at about 10.05am on Thursday August 2 in Campbeltown’s Co-op car park.

Drugs possession

A 26-year-old was charged after he was stopped and searched by police at about 8.25pm last Friday, in Kirk Street, Campbeltown, and was found to have a small amount of cocaine.

Drink driver

A 42-year-old man was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol after his car was stopped by police at about 11.20pm on Saturday August 4, in Shore Street, Campbeltown. Inquiries revealed that there was no insurance in force for the vehicle. The man was charged with the offences.

Charged

A 25-year-old man was arrested at about 2am last Saturday, in Argyll Street, Campbeltown, for allegedly behaving in an abusive manner towards a woman. The man, who was charged, also resisted arrested and behaved in an abusive manner towards police officers.
