Highlights of Carradale snappers’ year in focus

-

Carradale’s best lens artists showed their sharpest prints at the annual camera club exhibition. Carradale Camera Club’s show filled the village hall for two afternoons as visitors and locals viewed more than 60 mounted prints. These were printed in both black and white and colour, and in addition there was a continuously running loop of projected images. A small selection of prints were for sale and many enjoyed rummaging through the box. After expenses, the club cleared £144.50 which was considered good as it was hoped the event would break even. Camera Club chairperson, Alasdair Bennett, said: ‘There were lots of favourable comments about the quality of the prints, which many thought were even better than last year. ‘The exhibition has sparked interest from several people who are keen to join the club, so hopefully our ranks will have grown by the time we kick off the new session next month. ‘Thanks to everyone who helped out with the exhibition over the weekend. ‘Whether you contributed your prints, helped with the setting up, provided baking, served teas and coffees or collected monies at the door, a huge big thank you.’
