Litter busting sky map gets more funding

-

Scotland’s coastlines including Kintyre are to get another £100,000 to help tackle marine litter build up. The extra money will be used to extend the SCRAPbook project around the entire Scottish mainland. It involves crews of pilots and observers taking to the skies to photograph areas of the coastline where they spot litter or pollution. The map is available for anyone to use, from organised groups to schools, communities to individuals. By visiting the website people can see how much litter has been identified and how they might help in their own area. To find out more about the project go to scrapbook.org.uk
