Lit­ter bust­ing sky map gets more fund­ing

Scot­land’s coast­lines in­clud­ing Kin­tyre are to get an­other £100,000 to help tackle ma­rine lit­ter build up. The ex­tra money will be used to ex­tend the SCRAP­book pro­ject around the en­tire Scot­tish main­land. It in­volves crews of pi­lots and ob­servers tak­ing to the skies to pho­to­graph ar­eas of the coast­line where they spot lit­ter or pol­lu­tion. The map is avail­able for any­one to use, from or­gan­ised groups to schools, com­mu­ni­ties to in­di­vid­u­als.
