❚ A garden shed at the rear of Dalintober Primary School, Dalaruan Road, Campbeltow­n, was forced opened and two balance bikes were taken between 4pm on Friday June 21 and 8.30am on Monday June 24. Plastic pipe within the school grounds was also melted and damaged.

❚ A vehicle stopped by police for a routine check at about 8.45pm on Sunday June 23, at Hall Street, Campbeltow­n, was found to have an expired MOT certificat­e. The driver, a 22-year-old man, was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

❚ At about 4pm on Thursday June 27, on the A83, at Bellochant­uy, an 18-year-old male motorist was stopped for exceeding the speed limit. He was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

❚ Between Saturday June 22 and Wednesday June 26, in Saddell Street, Campbeltow­n, a blue BMW car was damaged by having the bonnet and driver’s side rear door scratched. ❚ Between 4pm on Saturday June 22 and 2pm on Sunday June 23, at Smith’s Yard, Bowmore, Islay, a white Renault Kangoo van was damaged by having the windscreen and both wing mirrors smashed.

❚ Two vehicles were involved in a minor collision at about 10.20am on Friday June 21, in Port Charlotte, Islay. Subsequent­ly, it was establishe­d that one of the vehicles was driven without valid insurance or an MOT certificat­e. The driver of the car, a 61-year-old man, will now be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.

❚ At about 11.30pm on Friday June 28, police received a report of a man causing a disturbanc­e in a house at Bayview, Machrihani­sh. Police attended and a 46-year-old man was arrested and charged with abusive behaviour.
