Ladies kept busy at Dunaverty

-

The last two weekends have been very busy for the ladies at Dunaverty Golf Club.

The June Medal was held on Saturday June 27 with mixed fortunes, weather wise. Those with morning and evening times got soaked but there was better luck for those going out at lunchtime as they completed their rounds dry – the joys of Scottish weather!

Nine ladies played and some great scores were recorded. Katharine Hardman won with 83-22=61, four under par.

Second was Mary Wilson (91-27=64) and third was Ailie MacBrayne (78-10=68). Ailie’s 78 was the best gross score.

July 4 saw a great turnout, with 19 ladies competing in the Club Stableford Competition.

Lea Brown won with 42 points, while Katharine Hardman was second with 40 points and Ailie MacBrayne was third with 38.

The July medal was played in a howling storm on Sunday July 5, however nine ladies still turned out and did battle with the conditions.

Nichola Kidd was first with 79-12=67, just pipping Linda Brannigan with a better inward half (93-26=67). In third place was Ailie MacBrayne (81-10=71). Again Ailie had the best gross score with 81.
