There is so much love in a hug

-

Last week, six-year-old Beau Mackay and her brother Harry, nine, hugged their grandparents Jacqueline and Fergie Campbell for the first time since lockdown began in March. The heart-warming embraces – which have also been enjoyed by many other Campbeltown families in the past week – were possible thanks to a change in Scottish Government guidelines which means children aged 11 and under no longer have to physically distance from other children or adults in outdoor areas, unless the adult is shielding.

Beau and Harry’s mum Mairi described it as the ‘best moment ever’, adding: ‘The first hug was so emotional!’
