For everyone who has been missing their regular trip to Glenbarr Stores for lunch, coffee and cake, the wait is now over!

In preparation for the grand restaurant reopening tomorrow (Saturday July 18), proprietors Zofia and Eleanor and their team have been busy baking to make sure there are plenty of your favourites, and working hard to make sure the restaurant is looking fantastic inside and out, ready for your return.

While bookings are essential, you are guaranteed a warm welcome and excellent homecooked local produce.

Glenbarr Stores has set up both inside and outside seating, and staff would like to reassure customers that they are strictly adhering to government guidelines. Zofia and Eleanor said: ‘We’ll meet you, seat you, tell you we’ve missed you and that you’ve not changed a bit. Chat about the menu, feed you and then say cheerio until the next time.

‘Bookings are essential. We are allowing an hour and a half for your lunch reservation, giving you time to relax and enjoy the company, food and ambiance, or one hour for coffee and cake.

‘To stick with Covid guidelines, can we ask customers to please wear face coverings until you’re seated and when moving about the cafe.’

Seating at the restaurant will be limited and staff are asking that customers are patient with them while they navigate this new normal. Their top priority is to ensure all their customers have a safe and enjoyable visit to Glenbarr Stores.
