z A black Samsung S6 mobile phone was stolen from a house on Witchburn Road, Campbeltown, sometime between 3.30pm and 4.15 pm on Wednesday August 5.

z A man, aged 45, was charged with assaulting a woman about 7.15pm on Friday, August 7, in High Street, Bowmore, Islay. He was held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

z A man, aged 22, has been charged with riding a bike without lights.

The cyclist, who had previously been warned, was charged at 10.50pm on Glebe Street, Campbeltown. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

z About 3.10am on Sunday August 9, in Albyn Avenue, Campbeltown, a man, aged 20, was charged with assaulting a woman.

The man was held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

z A pane of glass in a greenhouse at a house on the Laphroaig Distillery Road, Islay, was smashed sometime between noon on Wednesday July 29 and 7pm on Sunday August 2.

z About 11.30pm on Saturday August 8, on Charlotte Street, Port Ellen, Islay, police stopped the driver of a grey Audi which was being driven in an anti-social manner and at excessive speed. The man, aged 33, was issued with an anti-social behaviour warning. If the driver or the vehicle is involved in a similar driving incident within the next 12 months, the vehicle will be seized by police and only returned to the owner on production of proof of ownership and payment of recovery/storage fees.
