Weekday evening flights resume

-

Weekday evening flights between Campbeltown and Glasgow resumed on Monday.

Following First Minister Nicola Sturgeon’s announcement of changes to Covid-19 rules on travel, which will progressively allow non-essential travel to take place, Loganair announced an increased schedule.

Throughout the pandemic, the airline, with support from Transport Scotland, maintained a number of passenger-scheduled services to ensure lifeline routes remained open. It also reports having delivered record volumes of mail and parcels under its long-standing commitment with the Royal Mail.

It also provided dedicated air ambulance capability for the Scottish Ambulance Service.

As well as flights to and from Campbeltown, as of Monday May 3, weekday evening services between Glasgow and Islay and Stornoway also resumed. From Monday May 24, dedicated Glasgow-Benbecula services, which have been shared with Stornoway during the pandemic, will resume at weekends and Edinburgh-Stornoway flights will also resume, initially on Mondays and Fridays before building up to a daily service during June.

From Tuesday June 1, InvernessStornoway services will move from one to two flights each week day, restoring a day-return capability in each direction and Inverness services to Orkney and Shetland will return.

Loganair is assuring customers that its ‘FlySafe healthy flying protocols’ will remain in place on every flight for as long as public health guidelines deem them necessary or advisable. Travel for both leisure and business returned from Monday April 26.
