WEST PROPERTY CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY

-

West Property is celebrating its 10th anniversary - a decade which has taken the company from one person based in Oban to seven-strong team with offices also in Fort William and Tobermory.

What originally began as a letting company - and letting is still the core business - has expanded very successfully into property sales as well.

‘West customers were so pleased with our letting service that they began to ask if we would sell for them, or find properties, and this side of the business has grown accordingly,’ said Gavin MacKinnon, commercial director.

Amongst the work being done in this 10th anniversary year is a planned revitalisation of the West Property website.

‘Digital marketing changes rapidly - incredibly so if you look back over our first 10 years - It is important that companies like us are always at the top of our game online,’ Gavin said, ‘as important as our online presence is, people are at the heart of West Property’s success.

‘We never forget that homes are a family’s major investment, whether renting, letting, buying or selling and clients and customers will always value the personal touch and expertise of dealing with knowledgeable, local people.’

West Property deals with long-term lettings of good-quality properties of all sizes and prices. They offer a fully-managed service, matching the right property and the right tenant, taking care of all the legalities and paperwork, including photographic inventories.

The business covers Fort William and Lochaber, the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and inland to Crianlarich; Oban and Lorn, down through

Inveraray to

Lochgilphead and as far south as Tarbert, Loch Fyne. The addition of the Tobermory office also means West handles property lettings and sales on the islands of Mull and Iona.

Gavin added: ‘Everyone on the team at West Property is local and has roots in their communities. Between us this makes for a thorough knowledge and appreciation of what it means to live in the West Highlands.’

West Property currently employs seven people, however that is set to increase. West is expanding the lettings team, meaning more opportunities for local people. Get in touch if that’s of interest!

Over the last 10 years West Property has worked in partnership with locally-based trades people and specialists and developed a network of skilled workers to call on to maintain letting properties as part of its wraparound service.

‘We have built up excellent working relationships with contractors throughout the area,’ Gavin said, ‘it is all part of the West Property way of doing business.’
