Juniors joggers stride out
Runners of all ages raced across Campbeltown during last weekend’s Mull of Kintyre half marathon and 10k races (MOKRun).
The day before the main races, 200 children took part in the junior races on Kinloch Green, completing the following distances: one lap (500m) for five to six-year-olds; one lap for seven to eight-year-olds; two laps (1km) for nine to 10-year-olds, three laps (1.5km) for 11 to 12-year-olds; and four laps (2km) for 13 to 14-year-olds.
As ever, MOK Coo cheered the youngsters on from the sidelines and, while the focus of the junior event is on having fun, prizes were presented to the top three male and female finishers in each of the each groups.
