DOORS
The insides of the doors – especially the inside of the outer door skin – can transmit road noise and vibrations. Self-adhesive soundproofing material can be fitted to this panel, but first make sure it’s dry and clean – water may run down the inside of the door and out the drainage holes at the bottom, so make sure the material is securely fitted. Some vehicles have blocks of polystyrene inserted to help absorb noise and reduce panel vibration. These can be fitted, if required, although the aforementioned self-adhesive material should be sufficient.
