TORQUE SETTINGS

 Strut uppermost nut (securing strut to bodywork support/mount, accessed from inside engine bay): 55Nm (40.5lb ft).  Nut securing strut top mount/ bearing assembly, accessed with strut out of vehicle to dismantle and reassemble strut assembly (please also see initial tightening shown in Step 30):

50Nm (37lb ft) NOTE: The official recommenda­tion is for the suspension camber to be checked/reset (for which profession­al assistance will almost certainly be needed) BEFORE tightening the nuts/bolts at the suspension strut/hub assembly, as detailed below.

 Through-bolts/nuts securing the lower end of suspension strut to the top section of hub assembly: initially tighten both sets of nuts/bolts to

50Nm (37lb ft) then tighten both sets to

90Nm (66.4lb ft) then rotate by 45° plus another 15°  Anti-roll bar link nuts: 65Nm (48lb ft)
