ABS failure

-

It’s strange how some vehicles seem to suffer from far more problems than others from the same production line.

This low-mileage BMW 325i had been in the workshop before for a variety of electrical system problems. Having replaced a front ABS sensor only a few weeks previously, the orange ABS light was illuminated again. Code-reading the system revealed that the rear ABS sensor had failed.

The sensor was easily replaced and, once fitted, the ABS system returned to its fully operational state.

We do repair quite a wide range of BMWS, but none have had the number of electrical problems as this 2009 vehicle with only just over 28,000 miles on the clock. Like many issues we come across in the motor trade, the succession of electrical component failures in this Beemer is a complete mystery.
