The Bosch MED 17 system used on this Fiesta incorporates these primary components:
Twin-harness ECU, located within the engine bay.
Three pencil-type coils.
Digital cam and crank sensors.
Twin oxygen sensors.
A single knock sensor.
Ecu-controlled alternator.
Smart charge Enhance Flooded Battery (EFB).
Pedal position sensor mounted on accelerator pedal.
Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor located in the air filter housing.
Three fuel injectors.
Bonnet position switch mounted in the bonnet latch.
Boost pressure sensor located in the intake trunking.
Turbocharger with electronically-controlled actuator.
