TINTING

-

Tinting the rear window and side-glass of a vehicle is a popular custom modification (front windscreen must be 70-75% transparent and front door glass 70%). In most cases, the glass doesn’t need to be removed. A tinted film is fitted, which is usually heated to shrink and mould it onto the glass. It usually needs to be trimmed with a sharp knife that has a stainless steel blade (such a blade shouldn’t scratch the glass). Some people prefer to dry-fit the tinted film, whereas others wet-fit it.
