Engine management

The Bosch EDC17C64 management system incorporates these primary components:

Four high-pressure common-rail injectors. High-pressure fuel pump driven via the cambelt. Digital crank and cam sensors providing engine speed information. Air mass sensor mounted in the air filter housing. An electronic EGR with position feedback. Fuel, air and coolant sensors reporting temperature. Pedal-mounted accelerator position sensor. A variable turbocharger with electronic wastegate. A separate boost sensor mounted in the air intake. A DPF sensor reporting DPF pressure. An enhanced flooded battery (EFB) with battery monitoring. An immobiliser built into the dashpod.
