SEALEY PWH600.V2

 As Siegen is a budget-oriented offshoot, it is unsurprising that the costlier Sealey alternative is the superior offering. With a more ornate frontal design and the largest auto-darkening solar-powered screen on test, it also has both a battery back-up and a low-power internal warning light. We were also pleased that it retains the same positive features of the cheaper Siegen SO1001, including a prescription lens bracket and a quick-release feature to access the front translucent spatter-protection cover (which costs about £1.70 and also fits the Siegen). Unfortunately, it shares the same headband as the Siegen. Also, we all found that the PWH600’S larger screen was prone to condensation on the inside while in use. Although we do not feel that the enhanced features should command double the official retail price, it is worth noting that various online outlets sell the Sealey for less than £50, which makes it a more logical choice, considering its superior specification over all of the helmets in this test.
