DAMPER BUMP-STOP RUBBER

These rubbers take a pounding on the Polo and rarely last the service life of the dampers. They do not come supplied on new units and are available as Sport, Normal and Off-road types.

The end nut is tight, but you can grip the top of the piston rod with locking pliers without worrying about marking it, as it goes nowhere near the damper seals.

…not at the bottom end with the sleeve sitting down on the damper tube. The alloy plate is secured with two 16mm-head bolts (30Nm or 22lb ft plus 90°).
