A new roadside assistance service has been launched that does away with membership fees. Covering most of the UK, RESQYOU is a digital ondemand service where users can request assistance through the website or via the free RESQYOU app on their smartphone.
The RESQYOU service covers everything from punctures and flat batteries to misfuelling, towing and requesting a locksmith for when keys are locked inside.
Motorists only pay for the service they require, when they require it. In addition, users can track the journey and estimated time of arrival of their technician in realtime, and there’s a Family View function, whereby anyone can link accounts and monitor the status of the assistance callout. Also available to those who haven’t downloaded the app, motorists requiring assistance can request help in just a few steps online at www.resqyou.co.uk
The RESQYOU app offers three products: £79.99 Assistance Only Thirty minutes of roadside or home assistance for flat batteries, flat tyres, keys locked in the car and running out of fuel. £99.99 Recovery Only Thirty minutes of roadside assistance for non-starting vehicles and recovery up to 10 miles from assistance location, accident recovery and major mechanical failure.
£249.99 Wrong Fuel – Covers the removal of fuel, drainage, flushing and cleaning of tank and pipes, and a fuel top-up.
RESQYOU is operated by Allianz Global Assistance, which has more than 35 years’ experience in providing premium manufacturer-branded roadside assistance schemes. Kate Walker, the head of strategic market management, says: “The traditional motoring club model alone simply does not offer the financial flexibility many consumers are demanding.
