Putting my car back on the road

-

My Vauxhall Vectra C 2.0 petrol has been off the road for the past two years and I am planning to use it again. The last oil change was done four years ago, but the car has only covered around 3000 miles since. Vauxhall does not recommend the use of engine flush, but would you advise me to use engine flush with the upcoming oil change?

The car was last filled up with fuel when I stopped using it. It has been turned on occasionally on the driveway over the twoyear period and the remaining fuel will need to be extracted. Do you recommend using a fuel system cleaner next time I fill it up?

I think it would be necessary to deflate all the tyres to get rid of the old air, then reinflate them. If I do this, would the wheels need to be taken off to rebalance them?

Because the car hasn't covered a high mileage since the last oil change, I don't think the engine will need a flush when changing the oil.

Because you're removing the old fuel and replacing it with fresh, there'll only be a small amount of fuel left in the system that may have deteriorated due to age. However, it would be advisable to use an additive such as Wynn's

Fuel System Cleaner (https://bit. LY/2PWVNAT). Although it is too late now, adding a fuel stabiliser (https:// bit.ly/2edkpcu) before laying up the car would have helped preserve the fuel.

The air in the tyres will be fine and will not need replacing. You may need to check the pressures, but there is no need to drain the existing air.
