With an unladen weight that’s well over 1.5 tons, the Ford Ranger needs a sturdy trolley jack and set of axle stands to work on the brakes and suspension, or a substantial ramp. Don’t cut corners when raising and securing the vehicle because it’s large and heavy, so make sure your lifting equipment is up to the job and in good working order.
