Build quality is excellent. Although the ride is firm, there isn’t a rattle in the cabin, unlike some Mercs I’ve owned.

The gearbox can get confused in Auto mode, especially on the upshift. If I’m driving reasonably hard I’ll use the paddles.

iDrive is brilliant. Now that I’ve got to know it, I think it’s the best infotainment system in the business.
