2017’s VW Arteon’s is ahead of the pack in being available with Adaptive Cruise Control with Predictive Speed Control, which uses cameras to read tra c signs combined with sat-nav info to know where you’re going. A much smoother journey results from factoring in imminent bends and junctions; it doesn’t speed you up if it knows you’ll need to slow back down again almost immediately.
