Volkswagen essentially makes the previously optional Performance Pack standard: power now stands at 242bhp, and there’s also the electronically controlled locking front differential, which becomes more aggressive in Sport mode and works in tandem with the XDS, a software-controlled aid to subtly nip individual brakes to stifle understeer.
