Council ask people to respect, protect and enjoy
CARMARTHENSHIRE Council is asking people to respect, protect and enjoy the county as businesses start to trade again, people begin returning to work and more leisure facilities open up once more.
As the county continues its recovery from the coronavirus pandemic more people are now getting out and about, but extra care needs to be taken to help stop the spread.
New measures have been put in place across Carmarthenshire and plenty of signage is being put in place to remind people to be socially responsible.
The message is simple – Respect, Protect and Enjoy.
People are asked to:
■ Respect – guidelines, safety measures, local communities and others around you
■ Protect – yourself, other people, and critical services; stay home if you’re unwell and wash your hands often
■ Enjoy – spend your leisure time safely and support local businesses get back on their feet.
Councillor Emlyn Dole, leader of Carmarthenshire Council, said: “We’re so pleased to finally be coming out the other side of this pandemic and beginning to see things returning to some kind of normality.
“But it’s so important to remember that this virus hasn’t yet gone away – so our message to people is clear and simple. Respect, Protect and Enjoy Carmarthenshire.”
He added: “As more people get out and about, you will see that extra measures have been put in place for safety and wellbeing. It’s very important that we all pay respect to each other to help stop the spread of the virus and help the county recover.”
