Underspend work is moved
SCHEMES halted due to coronavirus will be moved to 2020/21 as the council underspends on its working capital programme.
In the capital programme out-turn report Ceredigion County Council states that in 2019/20 £13.679 million of a £16.429 million budget was spent.
Cabinet member for financial, procurement and public protection Cllr Gareth Lloyd said this was an 83.3% spend with Covid-19 halting work, as well as other problems with accessing the river and the timing of Welsh Government grants.
The main variances include a £562,000 underspend on Storm Callum repairs, £398,000 underspend on the 21st Century Schools programme, £250,000 less spent on replacement vehicles and £186,000 less spent on general highways improvements.
There was an £309,000 overspend on the Disabled Facilities Grant.
