Garden room has approval
A RETROSPECTIVE planning application for a garden room and extension of curtilage prompted a debate about permitted developments and planning enforcement.
An external garden room with decking, and a retaining wall so it could be put at a lower level in the garden at Ty Fosi, Pantycrug, Capel Seion, was approved at Ceredigion County Council’s development control meeting on July 8.
The application also included a change of use to residential garden which extended beyond the previous curtilage, although a smaller area of land was agreed following discussion and it now lines up to neighbouring gardens.
Concerns about the curtilage had been answered, said Cllr Dafydd Edwards who moved support for the application.
