WE were pleased to have a virtual January 21 meeting via Zoom; thanks to Elizabeth for being our host. As we had not met for 10 months it was a relief to find we hadn’t changed in the meantime!

Having contacted every member regarding the excellent choice of five resolutions proposed for this year, Margaret was pleased to report to County Office the results. The majority vote was for a test for ovarian cancer, which is a major cause of female death, for early detection.

The goody bag for the monthly quiz was won by the institute in September 20 and the contents were listed for members, which will be of use when we meet physically again.

February being ‘Show the Love’ with the Climate Coalition wearing our green heart brooches, Marion proposed members may like to make 4” to 6” hearts using primarily green fabric to construct a large banner for use at local promotions and group meetings.

Membership will run to the end of March this year and in future, so it will be April before subscriptions will be due.

There are a great number of subjects available on Denman At Home since the closure of Denman College, which Sandra, for one, has taken advantage of to add to her many skills.

It is intended to have a Zoom meeting at 2pm on the first Wednesday of each month in future, when we hope more members will be able to join us. The first virtual meeting will be on February 3 at 2pm and Elizabeth will advise members of the log-on details prior to the event. Take care everyone.
