01269 871955 keithevans806@btinternet.com Speeding traffic talks Community councillor Richard Selwood has discussed with the Welsh Government Minister Lee Waters the need to prioritise putting 20mph restrictions along Heol y Banc, especially outside Ysgol Bancffosfelen. “I have found that Mr Waters, our MS, shares and appreciates the anxiety of local residents that the county council has still not introduced traffic calming measures after all the speeding surveys done by them and myself,” said Cllr Selwood. “The danger to lives is real, particularly for our school children. Action must follow from the county council to keep locals safe.”
Post Office The village hall hosts the community post office on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 2pm and 4pm. Times may vary due effects of the virus pandemic.
Defibrillator In the case of a suspected heart attack there is a public defibrillator affixed to the Bancffosfelen and Crwbin Hall. An intercom link provides live guidance for using the equipment. Depression Help Group With a link between the Coalbrook Road surgery and the Shadows mental health charity, patients with depression have been referred for sessions. The service is open on application to anyone in the area experiencing bouts of depression. Sessions are held in the Memorial Hall on alternate Fridays.
