TROSTRE SETTING A WILD PACE AT TOP

-

THERE seems to be no stopping leaders Trostre Sports at the top of the Premier division of the LTC Mobility Carmarthenshire League.

They made it eight wins from eight games when defeating Gorseinon Athletic 9-3 in their away game.

There was a hat-trick for Liam Jones, four of the goals were shared between Daniel Anderson and Christopher Price Williams, and there was also one for Rhys Griffiths.

There was also a hat-trick for Bwlch Rangers ace Callum Dawe, which helped his team defeat visiting Killay 6-1.

The others to get their names on the scoresheet were Kieran Dawe, Jason Morris and Max Borghesi.

It was much tougher for Loughor Rovers, for whom goals by Mike Grimwade and Josh Harwood were enough to edge a 2-1 win in the away clash against Burry Port.

Lewis Bunyan scored for Burry Port.

After going behind to a strike in the ninth minute by Joel Andrews, Seaside battled back to equalise through Callum Thomas in the 20th minute against visiting Trallwm.

Tray Jenkins gave Seaside the lead for the first time nine minutes later, but moments later it was 2-2 thanks to Chad Tinnuche.

Three minutes into the second half Seaside regained the advantage courtesy of Jamie Bowen, only for Andrews to rescue a point with his second goal for Trallwm.

A goal from Riley Lewis failed to rescue Pengelli United from a 5-1 defeat at Pontlliw.

Daniel Mcghee (2), Evan Gibbs, Adam Scott (penalty) and Liam Mccann netted for Pontlliw.

Runaway division one leaders Felinfoel started strong favourites for maximum points in their home clash against Bancffosfelen, but they were given a run for their money before eventually winning 4-2.

Foel striker Chris James scored two, and there were also goals for Tom Roberts and Jordan Badman.

It means that Foel have extended the advantage at the top to eight points from Llandovery Town, who lost 3-2 at home to Drefach. A couple of goals from Chris Hyde wasn’t enough for the hosts.

Jordan Thomas with a penalty opened Drefach’s account, while Trystan Bateman netted a second in the 34th minute. A third goal from Chris Amos secured the points.

And third-placed Camford Sports moved to within a point of Llandovery following a comfortable 3-0 win at Johnstown.

The visitors were in control for most of the game and goals came from Connor Morgan, Rhys Thomas and Jac Griffiths.

Kidwelly Town were in action against Abergwili and made ground advantage count in a hard-fought 1-0 win. With both defences looking solid it always looked likely that one goal would settle the outcome, and Kidwelly grabbed it through Liam Jones.

James Taube struck twice in the first nine minutes to give Llangennech a dream start in their 6-2 win against visiting Tumble United. Alex Davies scored a third in the 44th minute.

The second half continued in the same vein with Llangennech on top, and they took complete command with a couple more goals from Griffiths. Ryan Roberts netted a sixth in the 72nd minute.

Pwll Athletic beat Llandeilo Town 4-2. Ian Williams scored two, with Lewis Bowen and Kevin Evans also on target. Owen James and Luke Herman netted for Llandeilo.

Carmarthen United are still seeking a first league win of the season in division two and the run continued with a 5-0 defeat at West End United, for whom striker Stewart Hemingway scored two of the goals. James Doel, Callum Howell and Charlie Weston were also on target.

A hat-trick from Keiran Brown helped Dafen Reserves to a 3-1 win at CK Swiss Valley Reserves, and striker Lewis Rees bagged four of the goals for Caerbryn in a 7-2 win at KRUF.

Leading 3-1 at half-time, Caerbryn stretched clear with goals from Iwan Easton, Simon James and Cameron Evans.

There is no change at the top of reserve division one, and still in pole position after a thumping 9-2 win at Gorseinon Athletic are Loughor Rovers.

There were four goals for Joel Goddard, and a hat-trick for Darian Burt.

The gap stays at three points over Seaside Reserves, who edged a hardearned 2-1 win at home to Pontlliw Reserves.

Trailing to a goal from Danny Smale in the 56th minute, Mark Smolka equalised in the 77th minute before Ashley Davies got the winner.

Pengelli United Reserves beat Trallwm 4-2 in their home game. Niall Harrington scored two for Pengelli and there were also goals for Rhys Barlow and Kurtis Bray.

Robert Nangalia and Ben Williams netted for Trallwm.

Four of the goals for Trostre AFC Reserves in the 6-1 win at Drefach Reserves were split between Elliot Lloyd and David Bastiman. There were also goals for Luke Haddock and Curtis Evans.

Sitting on top of reserve division two are Dafen A, for whom the goals in the 4-2 win at Llangennech were scored by Callum Letheren (penalty), Danny Hughes and Matthew Davies.

It seems as if striker Dave Mcewan can’t stop scoring right now, and his four goals helped Loughor Rovers A to a 5-0 win at Johnstown.

And in reserve division three, striker Shane Price scored four goals for runaway leaders Bwlch Rangers in a 5-1 win at Pembrey. Jason Morris netted the other.

After being quicker off the blocks, it came as no surprise when Jamie Davies shot Llangennech Reserves into a 10th-minute lead against visiting Pwll Athletic Reserves. The same player made it 2-0 in the 21st minute.

Two more goals from Justin Williams and Adam Evans made the final score 4-0.

There were maximum points for Drefach A, for whom Liam Thomas opened their account in the 19th minute in the 3-2 win at FC Carmarthen Reserves. Thomas netted the winner in the 87th minute, sandwiched in between a second for Drefach from Aled Williams.

Goals from Quinton Tomlinson and Owen Flowers gave Caerbryn Reserves a cracking start against visiting Burry Port A, and it was 2-0 at half-time. But they let slip their advantage when going down to a disappointing 3-2 defeat.

Aaron Bockman scored two for Burry Port, with Jon Fleming grabbing the other.
