ALBIES SITTING PROUDLY AT TOP

SITTING proudly at the top of the table in the inaugural West Wales Premier League are Evans & Williams, who made it three wins on the bounce when defeating Morriston Town 3-1 in their away clash.

After taking an early lead through Mark Howells, the Albies had their lead cancelled before half-time. But in the second half they took control.

A well-taken goal by Bruno Forkouh regained the lead for the visitors, before Tom Lavender secured the points when he netted in the dying minutes.

Penlan Club, however, remain favourites to capture the title after yet another convincing win, 11-1 at home to Cwm Wanderers. Striker Ryan Purcell was on fire with five of the goals, there was a hat-trick for Jordan Doyle, plus goals for Nathan Lewis, Steven Hughes and Ashley Harries.

Still unbeaten alongside Penlan Club are Mumbles Rangers, who had to work much harder in edging out visiting Dafen 3-2 in a thriller. Apart from being gifted an own goal, Will Meredith netted twice for Mumbles.

There was also maximum points for Seven Sisters Onllwyn, who beat visiting South Gower 4-1. The four goals were shared equally between Nathan Jones and Adam Cambell. Bruno Morris, with a penalty, scored for South Gower.

In the Premier division of the LTC Mobility Carmarthen­shire League, Trostre AFC extended their advantage at the top to 10 points and that is without kicking a ball.

Opponents Burry Port failed to raise a team for the away fixture, and as per league rules Trostre were awarded a 4-0 win.

After becoming the first club to lower the colours of high-flying Trostre AFC with a stunning 4-1 win, Pengelli United followed it up by defeating Trallwm 3-0 at home. On target were Kieran Burder, Reilly Lewis, and Mark Beer.

Defences dominated for most of the clash between Seaside and visiting Gorseinon Athletic.

But the deadlock was broken eventually in the 60th minute when John Dixon found the net to earn Gorseinon a 1-0 win.

Pontlliw and Bwlch Rangers drew 2-2 after goals from James Medwin and Liam Mccann were cancelled out by Bwlch’s Matthew Hughes and Kieran Dawe.

There is no change at the top of division one, and second-placed Camford Sports stay six points behind leaders Felinfoel following an eyecatchin­g 6-1 win away to Llandeilo Town.

Striker Connor Morgan led the charge with a fine hat-trick, and there were goals also for Liam Cole and Mario Amato. The home team conceded an own goal, but did get one of their own through Luke Sutton.

Felinfoel won 3-2 at Pwll Athletic after goals by Tom Roberts, Stewart Newson and Chris James. Kori Jones and Gavin Evans replied.

Bottom club Johnstown are still seeking a first league win after 10 attempts and never looked like getting it in the 3-0 defeat at Drefach.

Goals from Liam Griffiths, in the 22nd minute, and Blake Kitching, in the 59th minute, weren’t enough for Llangennec­h, who lost 4-2 at home to Kidwelly Town.

It was a terrific performanc­e from Kidwelly, who secured the points courtesy of Jordan Howells, Max Martin, Alex Kay and Robert Hammond.

FC Carmarthen beat Abergwili 2-1 with goals by Ben Thomas and a Jordan Archer penalty.

In division two there were hattricks for both Stewart Hemingway and James Doel in helping West End United to a 9-2 win at Ammanford Town A. Charlie Weston scored two, and there was one for Calum Howell.

The home team battled until the end and were rewarded with goals from Owen Davies and Paul Griffiths.

Leading 2-0 at half-time, Caerbryn pulled clear for a 7-0 win at home to Hendy. There was a hat-trick for Rhys Morgan. The influentia­l Oliver Dymond grabbed two goals, and there was one each for Lewis Rees and Cameron Jones.

Reserve division one leaders Loughor Rovers suffered only their second league defeat of the season when going down 4-0 at home to second-placed Trostre AFC thanks to goals from Jonny Thomas, Curtis Evans, Elliot Lloyd and Jack James.

It was much closer between Pengelli United Reserves and visiting Seaside Reserves, the home team eventually claiming the points with a 2-1 win.

Niall Harrington gave Pengelli the lead in the eighth minute, and he made it 2-0 in the 31st minute, before Mark Smolka grabbed the solitary Seaside goal on 66 minutes.

The busy Carl Chant and Daniel Brown scored a couple of goals each for Camford Sports, who beat Pontarddul­ais Town A 7-3 at home in reserve division two. The visitors strolled further clear thanks to Coree Batup, Josh Finan and Tom Price.

It leaves Camford one point adrift of leaders Dafen A, for whom Marc Garrity, Matthew Davies, Bobby Dunne and Danny Hughes scored in a 5-1 win at home to Loughor Rovers A. The visitors conceded an own goal too.

Felinfoel Reserves had a handsome 7-1 win at Kidwelly Town Reserves. Nicky Morgan (3), Sean Andrews (2), Morgan Harries and Dean Brown netted, and David Thomas replied for Kidwelly.

Reserve division three leaders Bwlch Rangers stay four points clear of second-placed CK Swiss Valley A and kept their unbeaten record intact with a 5-3 win at home to Caerbryn.

Shane Price scored two for Bwlch, and there were others for Jason Morris, Kellan Jenkins and Nicky Brookfield. Striker Owen Flowers hit back with two of the goals for Caerbryn. Josh Davies scored the other.

Two goals in seven minutes midway through the second half by David Thomas helped Llangennec­h A defeat visiting Pembrey Reserves 5-2.

Liam Williams opened the scoring for Llangennec­h in the 12th minute, and there were also goals for Lewis Davies and James Henderson.
