Ramblers This week our group headed for the coast to Aberaeron for a seven mile moderate walk, led by Medi, to Henfynyw then on the coastal path as far as Aberarth, a former fishing and shipbuilding village. Here, during the 12th Century, Cistercian monks imported bath stone from Bristol for the building of Ystrad Fflur. The stone was transported on an ancient road, Lon Lacs, traces of which are still trodden as public footpaths. After the easier gradient of the coastal route, the way then followed up the hill to

Llanddewi Aberarth Chruch, a stiff climb up but greatly rewarded for the sea views across Cardigan Bay. Then, following the bridleway across the fields, Aberaeron soon came back into view, and the end of another lovely local ramble. Please contact James 01570 480743 for walk details and copy of walks programme. The Ramblers is a national walking organisation and welcomes people to come along.
