TROSTRE SEAL CUP PROGRESS

IT was a stroll in the park for Trostre AFC, who beat visiting Landore 6-0 to reach the third round of the West Wales Intermedia­te Cup.

Four of the goals were shared between Liam Jones and Anthony James, while also on target were Rhys Griffiths and Christophe­r Price Williams.

The reward for Trostre is another home tie, against Ynysmeudwy Athletic of the Neath League, on Saturday, December 4.

In the big game in the West Wales Premier League, there was no joy for Carmarthen­shire League side Evans & Williams, who suffered a 3-2 defeat away to leaders Penlan Club.

It was a quality game between two good teams, with Penlan eventually edging the points thanks to goals from Sam Lewis, Steve Hughes and Jordan Doyle.

And there was more disappoint­ment for bottom club CK Swiss Valley, who were second best in their 4-1 defeat at South Gower. The home side made their mark with goals from Jack Jones, John Berry, Owen Evans and Kieran Savage.

Pontarddul­ais Town beat Dafen 3-1.

Cameron Davies scored two for Bont, with Joel Beynon grabbing the other.

Lennon Evans was on target for Dafen.

Swansea Valley side Cwm Wanderers made ground advantage count when winning 5-1 against Morriston Town. Striker Jacob Sadler grabbed a hat-trick, and there were goals for Pearce Doherty – his first of the season – and Oliver Ranford.

In the Premier division of the LTC Mobility Carmarthen­shire League, Pengelli United just about deserved to edge Loughor Rovers 3-2 in a fiercely contested derby.

The goals for Pengelli were scored by Sam Lovell, Kieran Burder and Reilly Lewis.

Burry Port ran out 2-0 winners against Seaside. After taking the lead through Jamie Bockmann in the 12th minute, Ethan Bockmann secured the points with a second in the 54th minute.

In division one, leaders Felinfoel extended their advantage to nine points following a hard-earned 2-1 win at Tumble United.

There wasn’t much to choose between the teams for long periods, but what separated them were two welltaken goals by Foel marksman Jordan Badman.

Camford Sports stay second in the table, this despite going down to a 4-2 defeat at FC Carmarthen, who took control with a couple of goals from Ben Thomas. Gavin Rees and Tom Walters also scored, while Dan Brown netted both for the visitors.

Third-placed FC Carmarthen moved to within a point of Camford Sports as a result.

Sitting in fourth place following a crushing 7-1 win at Llandeilo Town are Pwll Athletic.

Six of the goals for Pwll were split between Gavin Evans, Ian Williams and Ashley Smith, and there was one for Jude Howells.

In a tight match between two midtable teams, it was Llangennec­h who came up trumps 2-1 at Kidwelly Town. Mike O’mara scored Llangennec­h’s first on the stroke of half-time, before James Taube hammered the all-important second past the keeper in the 75th minute.

Striker Stewart Hemingway was again in the thick of the action in helping West End United win 6-0 at Penllergae­r in division two, while Carmarthen United proved too strong for visiting CP Suburbs when winning 6-2.

There were a couple of goals each for Scott Jarvis and Josh Tennant, the others to find the back of the net being Cameron Jones and Callum Collins-davies.

Caerbryn were 2-1 behind at the break at Evans & Williams Reserves but battled back for a 2-2 draw thanks to Joe Lewis and Kyle Wells.

Drefach were awarded a 4-0 win at home to Seaside in reserve division one, but Loughor Rovers take pride of place after an eye-catching performanc­e in a 10-2 win at nearby Pengelli United.

There was a hat-trick for Lewis Sherman. Morgan James scored two, and there were goals for Tom James, Dan Rees, Kurtis Russ and Joel Goddard. Loughor were also gifted an own goal.

In the best of the action in reserve division two, Dafen A went three points clear at the top with Matthew Davies claiming a hat-trick in the 6-1 win at home to Kidwelly Town. Martin Davies netted twice and there was a goal for Jack Jones.

Striker Lewis Davies was another hat-trick hero for Llangennec­h Reserves in their 5-1 win against Loughor Rovers A. One of the goals was a penalty on the half-hour, while Jimmy Beckett scored twice within the space of four minutes midway through the second period.

In reserve division three, striker Owen Flowers struck with a first-half hat-trick for Caerbryn in a 3-2 win at home to Pembrey. It was 3-1 at halftime.

Thanks to a couple of well-struck goals from Gareth Davies, Burry Port A claimed their third league win of the season when defeating visitors CK Swiss Valley A 4-2.

Apart from being gifted an own goal, Aaron Bockmann also scored for Port.
