TRIMSARAN Workmen’s earned the Llanelli Snooker League’s best win of the night with a thumping 7-0 demolition of visitors Ponthenri Social in division one.

On song for Trimsaran were Colin Foreman (62 break), Jamie Tudor (47), Lee Holland, Lewis Lloyd (51), Mark Foreman and Kieran Proctor.

Llanelli Cons A almost matched them, dropping just the single frame to Pontyberem’s P. Rees in winning 6-1.

Keith Moore, Hefin Jones, Mike Moore, Dean Bowen and Mark Sargent all won for the home side.

There was a 6-1 success for Morfa Social at bottom side Gorseinon Workingmen’s, where G. Lewis, Rob Hughes, S. Ashford, Andrew Hatto and P. Matthews all did the business.

Only Keith Murrells prevented the whitewash.

W. Major was Llandybie Social

A’s sole frame-winner in a 6-1 reverse against Llanesco, for whom Luke Lloyd, Peter Shoulder, Mark Stevenson and Chris Lloyd won.

Snooker World Whites were 5-2 winners against Upper Tumble Blues courtesy of Ben Thomas, Jamie Gimblett, Andrew Whitfield and Anthony Krysa.

S. Lewis and J. Bradley won for the Tumble potters.

Dean Thomas, Rob Davies and James White gave Burry Port Legion an aggregate 4-3 victory at Cross Hands B.

For the home side, Jeff Jones (38), Dai Isaac and Gary Stead supplied the points.

Craig Jones (50) was Reading Room Blues’ only real highlight in a 6-1 loss at unbeaten leaders Matchroom Reds, whose winning quintet were L. Grey, Phil Williams, R. Evans, B. Newcombe and J. Thomas.

Davies and A. Edwards gave Matchroom Whites a 5-2 win against Pontarddul­ais Workmen’s. C. Marston and S. Dunn hit back for Bont.

In division two, Gremlin Club defeated a depleted Llandybie Social B side 7-0, with Ray Barney, J. Edwards, L. Collins and G. Stollery winning.

Matchroom Blacks were 5-2 winners against Llandybie RFC thanks to the efforts of Tom Williams, Rhys Morgan, Ryan Maides and Corey Jenkins.

For the rugby club, Kalem James and Shane Wright were on top.

Martin Tucker (33), Roy Morgan, Phil Eyers and Gary Williams gave New Lodge B a 5-2 victory over Cross Hands A, who are yet to win.

Jeff Howells and Elwyn Williams won for the visitors.

Visiting Snooker World Blues claimed a 5-2 win at Bryn B thanks to Alan Jones, Chris Waters, Callum Fuge and Linden Cox.

Bryn’s winning pair were Adam Fussell and Elliott Anderson.

J. Jones and C. Richards were on the ball for Bryn A in a 5-2 loss at Reading Room Reds. For the Burry Port side, J. Dean (27), S. Gower, T. Rawlings and C. Hurley (20) won their frames.

Mike Sainty and Steve Marshall were Upper Tumble Reds’ winners in a 5-2 defeat against early tabletoppe­rs CGMD. For the Fishermen, Paul Landek, Matthew Jones, James Varney and Jack Evans were on top.

In the cup, there were wins for Matchroom Whites (4-1 against Gorseinon WMC), Matchroom Reds (5-1 over Snooker World Whites), Morfa (4-1 against Llandybie RFC), Gremlins (4-0 against Pontarddul­ais Cons B) and Matchroom Blacks (4-2 over Upper Tumble Reds).*
