MEMBERS were pleased to welcome the arrival of December to celebrate Christmas. Apologies were taken from Pam, who is sheltering prior to her husband having an operation, and our good wishes were sent to them. We were sad to hear of the death of a past secretary’s husband, John Evans, and condolences sent to Judy and daughter Jolene.

Jean prepared all the gifts for the Secret Santa to take place later while Marion read the minutes of the AGM for 2019 which she had not read last month, which were duly approved and signed. Sandra presented the federation financial report. The monthly newsletter was then discussed and Eluned confirmed she would remain a member of the Book Club, where she had met and enjoyed with fellow members.

The schedule of the 2022 show under the heading of New Beginnings was then discussed and anticipated. Margaret sold entries for the federation quiz to keep members entertained.

Members had brought socks with items secreted therein to be fingered to guess the contents. The were 23 to tease their imaginations with Eluned being the overall outright winner. Everyone had brought a supper as an alternative to the buffet we usually have, which was enjoyed nevertheless.

Marion advised members that their subscription would continue to the end of March and that the January 5 meeting would be at 2pm when we would Adopt a Character.

The meeting concluded following the singing of carols, with thanks to Debbie for printing same, and also a quiz to contemplate until our next meeting, answers in January.
