No move on land Pontyberem council in November considered the possible purchase of county council land currently on sale at the rear of Furnace Terrace and Heol Aneddfa. Due to the size of the grounds and numerous complexities regarding ownership and access the community council resolved not to adopt the site.

In the dark Public lights have been out of action for some time along the hillside public footpath between the former village infant school on Llannon Road and Coalbrook Road. “Post numbers 1 to 5 were not working when I inspected the route after numerous complaints,” said Richard Selwood. “Particularly for older residents during these winter months the path is unusable and causes much inconvenience when having to use a much longer alternative route.” The county council has been contacted to take swift action to restore the lighting.
